What Pride in Performance Means to Us

At Stephen Izzi Trucking and Rigging, we strive to be one of the top trucking companies in the United States. If you’ve taken a look at our website, you’ve probably seen that we like to use the phrase “Pride in Performance” around here. To us, it’s more than a nice sounding sentiment; instead, it’s a motto that we take very seriously. Each member of our team knows the value of hard work and we are all dedicated to making your experience with us a great one.

But what else do we mean by that phrase? As a matter of fact, that’s the subject of today’s post. If you’re considering us for your freight trucking needs, keep reading, because we would like to share a few of the things that we believe make us unique in our industry!

The Value of Hard Work

Many people out there have a favorite president. For some, it’s the political actions of a particular president that makes them respect the work that he has done. For others, it’s that president’s dedication to getting the job done regardless of how they feel about his politics.

Around here, we’re pretty big fans of Theodore Roosevelt. A look back at some of this man’s accomplishments both in and out of the office are enough to make a modern man’s head spin. Roosevelt is known to many as a Rough Rider (according to Wikipedia, “The Rough Riders were mostly made of college athletes, cowboys, ranchers, miners, and other outdoorsmen” and they went on to become known as “Roosevelt’s Rough Riders”), but there is more to him than that.

You might also know Roosevelt for his depiction as one of the faces on Mount Rushmore–alongside Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, and our first president, George Washington.

“Work Hard at Work Worth Doing”

What you may not know is that Roosevelt was born with a severe case of asthma which dominated his early life. Despite the challenges he faced, Roosevelt went on to become an avid outdoorsman, hunter, and explorer, among other things. He took up boxing, hiking, horseback riding, rowing, and tennis, and he even dedicated a portion of his time to learning the art of judo. In short, Roosevelt was a man of many passions and he dedicated himself thoroughly to each one in order to get the most out of it.

The legacy Roosevelt has left behind is a source of inspiration. It might not surprise you then that he is responsible for a number of great quotes, perhaps the best one being that “far and away the best prize that life has to offer is the chance to work hard at work worth doing.”

What Does That Mean For Us?

As we said above, we strive to be one of the top trucking companies in the nation and we work hard to do that. We believe that helping people to get their shipment from Point A to Point B is the type of work that’s worth doing. It allows businesses across the United States to thrive. Small businesses grow and large businesses meet the growing needs of their dedicated customers. Someone needs to be there for the long haul and we’re up to the challenge.

Working hard at work worth doing is part of what we mean when we say that we take pride in performance. It isn’t always easy, but we are dedicated to doing the best job possible for each and every one of our clients. We know that you depend on us to help you get the job done right and we won’t let you down. At the end of the day, working hard is what drives us and we want you to know that we will always work hard for you.

We believe that our hard work behind the scenes is what helps to keep things running well. We’re not trying to take all of the credit here–indeed, it is your hard work that makes a difference in our country. Whether you’re a woodworker who just completed a collection of chairs that you need to get from Oregon to Maine or you’re someone who needs a large warehouse to store your inventory, you can count on the team at Stephen Izzi Trucking and Rigging to take great care of you!
